Razz is a very simple, yet complicated variaty of 7 Card Stud. It´s very similiar to 7 Card Stud, but in Razz the lowest hand will take down the pot! Flush and straight doesn´t affect the hands value, and aces are counted as low card making A,2,3,4,5 the lowest possible hand. Razz is played with two to eight players.
The Game
- Like in all stud games, players put out an ‘ante’ before every game, which is 1/5 of the low limit bet.
- 2. Every player gets two closed cards and one open. The player with the highest card puts out a half(forced bring in), or a full bet after own choice. The others then choose if they want to fold, call or raise.
- 3. After the first round, the remaining players are dealt a 2nd open card, and another betting round is now initiated by the player with the highest visible card – like in all the following rounds.
- 4. After the 3rd open card has been dealt, bets double up(in fixed limit).
- 5. The 4th open card is dealt, followed by another betting round.
- 6. The 7th and last card dealt is closed. After the last betting round there’s showdown where the lowest hand wins the pot.
