- General:
Action Poker is a very interesting room with few, but lucrative tables. On an average day, you´ll find a few small and medium No Limit Holdem tables packed with donkeys. If you want to go higher, try to sit down at an empty table at the stake you may desire - many of the small stakes players simply can´t resist the temptation. Should you be a ‘low’-limit player, ActionPoker is a great place to start building your bankroll! The software works fine with quickly dealt cards. Graphics are somewhat boring though, but it´s very user friendly.
Fish
Traffic mainly comes from the casinos and sports books connected to Action Poker Network. This causes a very poor resistence, and plrs/flop percentages that should tempt the wise player. There’re not many, if any, good poker players, since the traffic is too low for the grinders.
Traffic
Players during peak hours:
Cash-games: up to 750
Tournaments: up to 2.500
Currently the games offered are mainly Texas Hold’en no-limit between $25 and $200 as well as fixed limit $0.25/$0.50 to $5/$10. As I write this there’s a quite juicy full-ring (41%) $200 HE NL table going on, as well as a (54%) $5/$10 SH HE FL table, but that’s also about as high as it usually gets. There’s actually some decent tournaments for minor buy-ins, as well as freerolls and Sit&Gos, eventhough patience is nearly always needed.
Software
The graphics in the room looks somewhat boring, but it’s simple and big cards are dealt out quickly providing an extremly good flow to the game! The lobby is even more simple, and looks very nice in a user-friendly manner. There’s everything you need to know, and no more. That includes the standard information about the tables such as plrs/flop %, avr. pot etc. At the table you have all the usual features like Notes and Stats, but unfortunately no hand-history. You can always call for a helpful floor manger(live-chat support), if you should have any questions. You can also check up upon your bonus whenever you want.
Tournaments
Tournament traffic reaches 1800 players at peak time, and there’re some decent tournament for minor buy-ins, as well as freerolls and Sit&Gos, eventhough the flow to these is far from impressing. Most tournament buy-ins are $20 and below, but traffic is still an issue. Most exciting are probably the 7 stage WSOP qualifiers, with buy-ins as low as $0.03+0.01 at level 1 and $1500+150 at level 7!!
Support
Action Poker supports their customers through a 24/7 Live Chat, email support and will even have a telephone support member call you up for more personal assistence - free of charge naturally.
Bonus
The bonus at Action Poker is one of the highest in the industry! They´ll will match you first deposit with a bonus up to $10.000 for Bank Wire deposits, $500 for credit cards and $2500 for Neteller and MoneyBookers(deposit limits). For every $1 recieved in bonus, you must earn 14 Player Option Points (POP). For every 10 cents that you contribute to the rake you will earn 1 Pop Point. You thereby earn 10 points for every $1 paid in rake - and also for tournament fees you will earn 10 POP Points. Tournament POP is calculated in $1 increments (rounded down). In order to earn POP from tournaments the fee must equal or exceed $1. Very fair terms indeed! This is equivalent to an eternal 83% rake back on a poker room with juicy tables!!
