Action Poker Network

Action Poker is a small network with both up- and downsides. There are hardly any good players, but the traffic is too low. Especially at the higher stakes where tables seem empty at all times. If you play smaller NL tables, this is a great place to start building your bankroll! The software works fine with quickly dealt cards. The lobby looks good, but not the tables.

Fish

Traffic mainly comes from the casinos and sports books connected to Action Poker Network. This causes a very poor resistence, and plrs/flop percentages that should tempt the wise player. Nevertheless, there’re not many, if any, good poker players on this network, since the traffic is too low, especially at the higher stakes where tables seem empty at all times. But should you be ‘low’-limit player with high ambitions to win, you could easily find this place very interesting!

Software

The graphics at the tables looks somewhat boring, but it’s simple and big cards are dealt out quickly providing an extremly good flow to the game! The lobby is even more simple, and looks very nice in a user-friendly manner. There’s everything you need to know, and no more. That includes the standard information about the tables such as plrs/flop %, avr. pot etc. At the table you have all the usual features like Notes and Stats, but unfortunately no hand-history. You can always call for a helpful floor manager(live-chat support) if you should have any questions. You can also check up on your bonus whenever you want to.

Traffic

Players during peak hours:
Cash-games: up to 750
Tournaments: up to 2.500
The lack of traffic is Action Pokers main problem, but hopefully they’ll become a larger network in time. Currently the games offered are mainly Texas Hold’en no-limit between $25 and $200 as well as fixed limit $0.25/$0.50 to $5/$10. As I write this there’s a quite juicy full-ring (41%) $200 HE NL table going on, as well as a (54%) $5/$10 SH HE FL table, but that’s also about as high as it usually gets. There’re actually some decent tournaments for minor buy-ins, as well as freerolls and Sit&Gos, eventhough patience is nearly always needed.

Tournaments

Tournament traffic reaches 1800 players at peak time, and there’re some decent tournament for minor buy-ins, as well as freerolls and Sit&Gos, eventhough the flow to these is far from impressing. Most tournament buy-ins are $20 and below, but traffic is still an issue. Most exciting are probably the 7 stage WSOP qualifiers, with buy-ins as low as $0.03+0.01 at level 1 and $1500+150 at level 7!
